This is VERY interesting to me in that I play an MMORPG. I sincerely believe that these MMORPGs are the forerunners of a true virtual reality for better or worse. The psychology of this virus is very interesting however I think that there is a large margin of error because there are a ton of fat little teenagers who actually live in these realitys and take out their teenaged angst in them...does that mean they would do the same in a real plague? I don't know, but I think that there is a conditioning and desensitizing aspect to these game for those in their formative years.

This "Black Death" Interests me to no end..just imagine what will happen when there is no paper money and a virus wipes out peoples wealth...or when there are cybernetics and they suddenly don't work or go haywire. This is a first and not the last in a world becoming increasingly virtual.

There are about a 1000

There are about a 1000 different things that I could say about this and they all are trying to cram their way out at once. Let me see if I can formulate a single thesis...

I think you might want to be very wary of these online virtual reality games. It's apparent to me that the participants are acting in all sorts of psychologic experiments. These things could be as simple as whether you pick up this sword of that sword. But now it has gotten to the point where the online community has become so sheepish that they can pull something so big.

The world WILL be virtual...and those that say it won't are Amish. however hoping for a different future that would better serve humanity is a wise decision.
